Stephen Colbert Will Interview Bernie Sanders In His Second Week On ‘The Late Show’

Stephen Colbert may have a pretty stacked line-up for his first week as the new Late Show host, but that doesn’t mean he plans on taking it easy afterwards. In the second week alone, he’s scheduled interviews with Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon and U.S. Senator and presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. It’s a pretty politics-heavy lineup, especially following a week in which he’ll interview former Florida Gov. (and current presidential candidate) Jeb Bush and George Clooney. He’s kind of political, right?

It’s not just all stuffed shirts and policy wonks for Colbert’s sophomore week, however. Heck no! Emily Blunt and Jake Gyllenhaal are scheduled, as well as a musical performance by Run the Jewels featuring TV on the Radio, which you kids are supposedly really into, so you’ll probably want to DVR that at the very least.

Here’s the whole line-up for your reading pleasure.

9/14: Emily Blunt; Justice Stephen Breyer; musical performance by The Dead Weather
9/15: Jake Gyllenhaal; musical performance by Run the Jewels with TV on the Radio
9/16: Kevin Spacey; Carol Burnett with Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer of Broad City; musical performance by and interview with Willie Nelson
9/17: Naomi Watts; United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon
9/18: Lupita Nyong’o; Sen. Bernie Sanders; interview with and performance by An American in Paris’ Christopher Wheeldon, Robert Fairchild, and Leanne Cope
