John Travolta Asks The Tough Questions In The First Teasers For Ryan Murphy’s ‘The People V. O.J. Simpson’

We’re still a good four months away from the February 2016 premiere of Ryan Murphy’s latest anthology series, American Crime: The People v. O. J. Simpson. Here’s the official summary as a refresher:

American Crime Story: The People V. O.J. Simpson is a look at the Simpson trial told from the perspective of the lawyers that explores the chaotic behind-the-scenes dealings and maneuvering on both sides of the court, and how a combination of prosecution confidence, defense wiliness, and the LAPD’s history with the city’s black community gave a jury what it needed: reasonable doubt.

Here’s where it gets fun. The series will star, among others, Cuba Gooding, Jr. as O.J. Simpson, David Schwimmer as Robert Kardashian, and John Travolta as Simpson attorney Robert Shapiro. You’d think the best part of that sentence is the thing where Ross from Friends is playing Kim Kardashian’s dad, but then you look up there at the official cast photo of Travolta doing his “This is probably how lawyers look” face, and it just flips your whole brain over. Expectations are quite high.

And now, finally, we have some teasers. There’s not too much to go on with them, as is usually the case with teasers, but — but — we do finally get our first glimpse of Travolta in action. It does not disappoint. February needs to get here ASAP.
