The post contains spoilers for the episode “The Darkness and the Light,” which airs on November 3.
Season two of The Flash is well underway, with Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and crew dealing with the breach between their Earth and Earth 2. While the breach did bring the welcome introduction of Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), the other Flash, the villainous Zoom and his minions have also made the jump, as well as some ominous doppelgangers. At the end of the last episode, Barry was rescued from King Shark by Earth 2’s Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh), but fans have yet to learn whether this other Wells is truly friend or foe.
The official synopsis for the upcoming episode, “The Darkness and the Light,” hints that Barry will have to face off against yet another unexpected enemy.
Barry learns a new breacher, Dr. Light, has come through the portal and sets off to capture her. Jay tells Barry that Dr. Light was not a threat on Earth-2 and that Barry can reason with her. However, during a fight with The Flash, she blinds him and drops some shocking news about Zoom. (via)
What it doesn’t tell you is that Dr. Light will have a familiar face. According to an Australian teaser for the episode, Dr. Light is the doppelganger of Linda Park (Malese Jow), former girlfriend of Barry and current coworker of Iris West (Candice Patton). Awkward.
