Norman Reedus Explains How Being Drunk And Belligerent Got Him His Start In Acting

With the return of The Walking Dead on Sunday, Norman Reedus stopped by The Tonight Show Wednesday night to chat with Jimmy Fallon. It’s a little known fact that Reedus was “discovered” at a party in Los Angeles while working at a Harley Davidson shop. However, as the story actually goes, Reedus had just been fired from that job and had accompanied a friend to a party where he apparently drank way too much — as one tends to do after being fired — and his drunken yelling attracted the attention of someone casting for a play. Initially, he was only asked to be the understudy, but when the guy didn’t show up the night of the premiere, Reedus was thrown into the deep end, so to speak. The rest is history.

Reedus also teased a stunt he’ll supposedly be involved with during the screening of the premiere of The Walking Dead at Madison Square Garden for 18,000 people Friday night. He was not at liberty to speak about it, but I hope by then he’s gotten that lock of hair out of his eye, because is it just me or is that driving anyone else completely nuts? JUST BRUSH IT OUT OF YOUR EYE, MAN.
