The world caught a glimpse of Scarlett Johansson‘s vocal talents in Spike Jonze’s Her, and now she’s combining that capability with her rarely seen comedic side. Former SNL writer Mike O’Brien recruited Johansson to voice a “Sexy Bible” track on his upcoming Tasty Radio comedy album. The result is downright Old Testament and will have you begging for a saucy nun to slap you across the knuckles with a ruler.

The track revolves around the Book of Deuteronomy, which, as O’Brien tells Rolling Stone, “could be called ‘Laws for Stuff That Will Never Apply to 99 Percent of Civilization.'” Indeed, some of verses that Johansson steams up would not otherwise escape from any sane person’s lips:

  • “If two men are fighting and one of them comes to rescue her husband from his assailant, and she reaches out and seizes him by the… private parts, you shall cut off her hand.”
  • “If you notice among the captives a beautiful woman and are attracted to her, you may take her as your wife, bring her into your home, and have her… shave her head.”

O’Brien was thrilled when Johansson signed on to the project, because he hunted for the best possible voice to make fun of the “very misogynistic” quotes within Deuteronomy. Listeners can also expect some assistance from O’Brien’s SNL crew with Cecily Strong, Fred Armisen, and Jason Sudeikis all joining in some capacity.

Here’s a few minutes of Johansson’s “Sexy Bible” track.

This is what will happen if anyone plucks up a bible while listening.
