Films And TV Shows You Should Watch Before They Leave Netflix In November

Luckily, there’s only a handful of precious films vacating Netflix‘ streaming service this November. Batman’s nipples, also known as Batman & Robin, is taking off into Gotham’s night sky, and for those who love the Saw series, there’s bad news: The first five films are being amputated this month. It’d also behoove you to watch the late Wes Craven’s Scream just in time for Halloween before it, too, is slashed off the list.

Here’s the full list of titles vacating Netflix in November and a few films you might want to catch before they depart.

Fargo (Nov. 1)

It’s a morality play that propagates the notion that even mild acts of evil can bloom into shocking feats of violence and depravity. Frances McDormand, in an Oscar-winning performance, stars in this Coen Brothers’ crime story where one man’s (William H. Macy) attempt to dig himself out of a financial hole results in his house of cards tumbling to the ground into a pool of blood.

Funny Games (Nov. 1)

Michael Haneke’s uncanny ability to explore extreme moments of the human condition in a naturalistic fashion makes him one of the most exciting filmmakers on the planet. For Funny Games (1997), the German auteur tackles the home invasion genre, whose previous benchmark was set with 1971’s Straw Dogs. It’s a grisly picture that’s far from family-friendly, but Haneke’s exploration of typical narrative structure results in a truly unsettling and wholly captivating film.

Three Kings (Nov. 1)

Despite a penchant for getting into heated confrontations with his actors (i.e. George Clooney, Lily Tomlin), David O. Russell has been on a hot streak of great films since the 90s. Three Kings follows four soldiers who have to take a hard look at their moral compasses when their plan to steal gold from Saddam Hussein turns into a rescue mission for the people being oppressed by the violent tyrant.
