Tracy Morgan might be ready to get everybody pregnant at SNL this Saturday, but he’s in true form with this second batch of promos for his return to 30 Rock. He even takes some time to get feisty with musical guest Demi Lovato, all while Kenan Thompson regrets never training to be a Jedi (idiot).
The second promo in this batch is my favorite because it not only calls back to some wonderful Tracy Jordan moments from 30 Rock, but it’s got an old school Transformers reference. How can you ever top such a thing? It also shows that Jordan is in a form where he can be funny and be himself. No one wants to sit and watch the soul-crushing Tracy Morgan that we saw a few months ago. It was necessary, but I don’t want to relive that.
Also, thanks to a comment from the last post, I also want to see a return of the Uncle Jemima sketch from years ago. It’s still funny and I’m still curious about all that swatting.
