What’s On Tonight: ‘The Blacklist,’ ‘Scandal’ And The Return Of ‘The Vampire Diaries’

The Blacklist (NBC, 9:00 p.m.) — You never know how an animal will react when it’s cornered. In this case, Red and Liz are in the biggest pickle they’d ever get in, so they build an erector set and try to launch the ball back over the fence. Just kidding: They call a lawyer.

Scandal (ABC, 9:00 p.m.) — Olivia and Fitz face some challenges (duh), and Abby gives an apple to the teacher to prove that she can handle life at the White House.

How to Get Away with Murder (ABC, 10:00 p.m.) — HTGAWM goes full 50 Shades when Annalise takes on a new client and her team must investigate a fancy sex club.

MLB Postseason (FS1, 7:30) — After the benches cleared in last night’s NL Wild Card Game, all eyes turn to Yordano Ventura, who has been in the middle of his fair share of dust-ups this season. He’ll take the hill for the Royals in Game 1 of the ALDS against Collin McHugh and the Astros

The Vampire Diaries (The CW, 8:00 p.m.) — Damon is trying to figure out what to do now that he’s without the love of his life. He should, like, try CrossFit and enroll in a cooking class or something. Just get back to being the best version of himself, ya know?

Bones (FOX, 8:00 p.m.) — Get your Austin Powers jokes ready because there might be a mole lying — or at least omitting vital information — in the frantic search for Booth’s whereabouts.

Benders (IFC, 10:00 p.m.) — Paul and Anthony try to negotiate the rescheduling of a wake so that they can play in Friday night’s game, but end up just hoping they don’t have to swim with the fishes.

Thursday Night Football (CBS, 8:25 p.m.) — Matt Hasselbeck is still an NFL quarterback, and he’s getting the start in place of an injured Andrew Luck against the Texans, who will look to unleash a purportedly healthy Arian Foster.
