The ‘Arrow’ and ‘The Flash’ Crossover Episode Sets Up ‘Legends Of Tomorrow’ In A Really Cool Way

A few episodes from the current seasons of both Arrow and The Flash have been used to set up the upcoming spinoff series Legends of Tomorrow. Yet the upcoming crossover of the two shows, the first that consists of more than either Ollie or Barry swinging by the other person’s respective city to help out with that week’s villain, will lay out the main conceit of Legends and officially introduce Hawkgirl and Hawkman. Although Hawkgirl has been hinted at via Cisco’s “vibing” of her superhero future, she hasn’t been seen in full costume yet.

But introducing the crew of Legends won’t be the only goal of the crossover special. The team will also be going up against one of the toughest villains they’ve ever seen, Vandal Savage, an ancient but powerful evil that will stop at nothing to get his hands on the Hawkgirl/Hawkman duo. Now that everyone, including Speedy and Diggle, are firmly entrenched in their superhero identities and skills, Vandal Savage doesn’t have a shot against the team they’ve assembled. It’s just a matter of how they beat him that is up in the air. We’ll have to wait until after the long Thanksgiving weekend to find out just how they do it, but tune in on December 1st to watch the first half of the two parter and get even more excited than you already probably are about Legends of Tomorrow.
