Exclusive: ‘Better Call Saul’ Showrunners Vince Gilligan And Peter Gould Break Down The Season One Collector’s Edition Box Set

Season two of the Breaking Bad spin-off Better Call Saul will return to AMC early next year, and as showrunners Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould note in the video above, they’ve recently competed filming on the second season.

If you haven’t watched the first season, need to rewatch it over the holidays, or if you want to introduce one of the best series on television right now to a friend or family member, there’s no better way to do that than through the Better Call Saul: Season One Collector’s Edition. It’s also a cool set to have if you’re a hardcore fan of the series who wants to obsessively rewatch it and track down all the Easter Eggs and callbacks to Breaking Bad (not that we would know anything about that).

We here at Uproxx have been fortunate enough to exclusively have Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould go through all the special features on the collector’s edition in the amusing unboxing video above. It’s a pretty sweet collector’s set. It includes cast and crew commentary for all 10 episodes, uncensored episodes, the gag reel, and behind-the-scenes featurettes.

Maybe the coolest thing in the set, however, is a music video for a song that Gilligan and Gould wrote which was originally going to be used as the theme song. They didn’t end up using it, but they did put together a music video for the song, which is also included in the set. Additionally, there’s an exclusive postcard vinyl of the song “Better Call Saul” performed by Junior Brown.
