Bryan Cranston And Jimmy Fallon Dish Out Midair Soap Opera Silliness On ‘The Tonight Show’

Not that you had your doubts, but last night’s edition of The Tonight Show confirms that Bryan Cranston is just as awesome an actor suspended in midair as he is when earthbound. Um, so make a note of it.

Cranston and Tonight host Jimmy Fallon presented to the world their “forgotten” ’90s soap opera Suspended Suspense on Monday which featured all the acting done in midair while suspended by wires. Why by wires, you ask? (That’s for playing along.) It was a demand said to be made by the director, although if we’re being honest it’s really just an excuse just to have Cranston and Fallon goof around doing over-the-top soap opera-y things as part of a pretend TV show.

Presented as multiple “clips,” the finest moments in Suspended Suspense history were placed on display for late night viewers to watch. The two co-star as brothers who seem to be remarkably inconvenienced by the fact they’re constantly lifted off the ground. If you’ve ever wanted to see a beloved Emmy decorated actor press his butt against Jimmy Fallon’s face as part of failed hug, this comedy segment should tick the necessary boxes.

This definitely isn’t the first time Bryan Cranston’s been game for late night silliness with Fallon. After all, who could forget his turn as the most visionary Let Us Play With Your Look stylist in Late Night history?
