Jaimie Alexander Reportedly Believes Her ‘Blindspot’ Tattoos Are Making Her Sick

No matter how good Blindspot gets, it will always be known as the naked-lady tattoo show. It was NBC’s entire pre-pilot marketing strategy, and apparently, it’s paid off: Blindspot was the first of the new fall series to be picked up for a complete 22-episode run, and it’s averaging 9.6 million viewers. All that success has come with a cost, though. Page Six reports that tattooed star Jaimie Alexander allegedly believes her fake ink is making her sick.

An unnamed source said, “[Alexander has] become convinced the ink is toxic and making her sick.” This comes after the news that four Blindspot makeup artists were fired last week; they were the ones in charge of the seven-hour process of covering Alexander with tattoos. Rough gig.

Suffering a pulmonary infection, the actress brought her doctor onto the Brooklyn set where Warner Bros. is midway through shooting the first season. NBC has already renewed the drama for season two. (Via Page Six)

Page Six also claims Alexander, who uses a “stunt double, a photo double for on-screen shots and, increasingly, they use a body double,” doesn’t get along with co-star Sullivan Stapleton and “tried to have him fired.” Alexander’s publicist called the claims “unfounded and inaccurate,” adding, “That’s what happens when a disgruntled former employee provides you with intel.”

Alexander, for her part, doesn’t seem fazed by the report.

A pulmonary infection, and now tickling? These tattoos will stop at nothing.
