In a further attempt to make us forget the Trump debacle, SNL has a stacked show this coming Saturday, bringing viewers the combined forces of Matthew McConaughey and Adele. McConaughey teams up with Kate McKinnon for his promotional video, and they do not disappoint. The two play off each other quite well, although McConaughey could probably have chemistry with a tree stump if he tried hard enough.
After cold-calling “viewers” in an attempt to get them to watch (as if they would have to; it’s MCCONAUGHEY and ADELE), he and McKinnon banter their way through his latest roles, leading to an unfortunate mix-up between Magic Mike and Killer Joe. Both excellent performances, but boy, confusing the two would lead to two drastically different outcomes.
