Wendy Blackstone, the sister of longtime TV producer Jill Blackstone, was found dead at the home the sisters shared. Wendy, who was deaf and partially blind, was found in the garage with a barbecue grill and a handwritten suicide note. After receiving “inconsistent statements,” police believed Jill was the one who wrote the letter, not Wendy, and that this was a murder instead of a suicide.

Now the police think it was actually a suicide pact between the two sisters, with Jill changing her mind at the last second. Jill, who was hospitalized for carbon monoxide poisoning, called a friend who then called the paramedics. By then Wendy was already dead, as were two pet dogs.

The police believe that by placing a lit barbecue in the garage, all four of them would die of carbon monoxide poisoning together. Jill Blackstone was originally arrested, but has since been released while the investigation continues.
