‘Whose Line Is It Anyway?’ Roasted Host Aisha Tyler With A Fantastic Musical About Her Deepest, Darkest ‘Secret’

From Clive Anderson’s heyday as host of the original British program in the late ’80s and ’90s, to Drew Carey‘s fantastic run throughout the first decade of the new millennium, Whose Line Is It Anyway? has always been a fantastic comedy improv show. The latter’s run ended in 2007, but The CW revived it six years later with new host Aisha Tyler and regular cast members Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles, who keep things going every Friday at 8:30 p.m. ET. And it’s still as wonderful as it ever was.

Case in point? “Scenes From a Hat,” the classic improvisation game that takes written suggestions from the live studio audience for scenes they’d like to see the performers act out. After collecting said suggestions, the host mixes them around in a hat and pulls them out at random. YouTube is littered with classic, hilarious clips and collections of this particular game, and thanks to a recent suggestion targeting Tyler with all the musical power of Hamilton, YouTubers have another entry to consider: “Songs from the musical Aisha.”

Every single one of Brady, Mochrie, Stiles, and frequent guest Jeff Bryan Davis’s songs are spectacular, but Mochrie’s final rendition wins everything. Especially because, per a brilliant bout of editing, Tyler quipped, “This is mostly just true, biographical stuff” beforehand:

“I can’t believe they don’t know about the penis!”

Cue several followups from Brady, Stiles, and Davis. That, and Tyler’s infectious, I’m-having-difficulty-breathing laughter.
