Amy Schumer And Anna Wintour Swap Lives And Make You Wish For A Reboot Of ‘The Devil Wears Prada’

Comedian Amy Schumer and Vogue editor Anna Wintour are both at the height of their respective fields. Schumer continues to crush the comedy game, and Wintour wields her power as the queen of fashion with icy aplomb. In order to promote her turn as Vogue’s cover girl for July, Schumer wrote a skit starring herself and Wintour claiming that they could do the other’s “easy” job.

While more than a little reminiscent of the 2006 romcom The Devil Wears Prada, we see Schumer flounder under identical looking shirts and leafy lunches. She may be able to pull off the sunglasses and matching Starbucks cup, but Schumer clearly does not have “it.” However, as she stumbles into her natural habitat, a comedy club, she is faced by a slightly devastating prospect: Wintour appears to kill it as a comedian. While her well-coiffed and tailored persona may not immediately scream “stand up comic,” Wintour has surprisingly good comedic timing. Sure, she has the help of Schumer’s writing, but maybe she should set up a real tour of “colleges and clubs.”

Inside Amy Schumer season four may have come to a close this week, but Schumer is still plenty busy. On top of another season of her Comedy Central show waiting in the wings, she’s working on film projects with Jennifer Lawrence and Goldie Hawn. I think she’ll be just fine, even if she can’t match a skirt and a dress to save her life.
