‘American Horror Story’ Fans Are Very Disappointed With One Thing About This Season

This has been a very good season of American Horror Story, arguably the show’s best. We’ll save that debate for after the finale — which is tonight! — but there’s one thing everyone, especially all of Twitter and Tumblr, can agree on: there hasn’t been nearly enough Evan Peters. He’s only appeared in three episodes, once as wealthy and socially insecure aristocrat Edward Phillipe Mott and twice as Audrey Tindall’s goofy husband, Rory Monahan. (If you’ve been watching American Horror Story: Roanoke, you know that Rory is the show-within-a-show actor playing Edward; if you haven’t been watching American Horror Story: Roanoke, you’re hopelessly confused right now.)

It’s been a rare showing of restraint for the oft-excessive American Horror Story — there’s no reason for Peters, who’s starred in every installment since season one’s Murder House, to be in Roanoke more than he already has. So the writers have shifted to other characters, although he did show up as a convenient-to-the-plot ghost (sort of), so… two steps forward, one step back.

But don’t tell that to his rabid fangirls and -boys who, unlike me (I just want to hear Kathy Bates’ accent), are tweeting for “more Peters” like their lives depended on it. You never know when a Pig Man might show up behind you…

Ryan Murphy will make it up to pleading American Horror Story viewers by having Peters — who’s rumored to be in the finale, somehow — run around the Roanoke house while it’s on fire. That’s never been done before, right?
