James Franco To Return To ‘Angie Tribeca’ And He’s Not The Only Notable On The Season 2 Guest List

The beloved gag machine known as Angie Tribeca is set to come back with more Sledge Hammer!-esque rapid-fire jokes that will wallop like a, er, sledgehammer in season two. Not only that, but there will also be an avalanche of guest stars in the mix too. Just like the show’s ample stockpile of jokes, you’re likely to find something that tickles your fancy in the treasure chest of names.

Deadline reports that the TBS cop comedy will have the following stars drop by in future episodes: Heather Graham, Mary McCormack, Noah Wyle, Maya Rudolph, Eriq La Salle, Danny Pudi, Busy Philipps, Kevin Pollak, Rhys Darby, Ed Begley Jr., Joe Jonas, and Joey McIntyre. See! Something for everyone! Especially NKOTB enthusiasts and ER fan-fiction authors. If that’s not enough, James Franco will once again make an appearance on the program. Let’s all have a nice think about his cameo last season, shall we?

The new season and all its shiny new/returning playthings will return on June 6 for a 10-episode run, although it’ll be missing the binge-friendly marathon format that was trotted out for the first season. A zippy teaser that popped up earlier this month seems to suggest the show will not abruptly shift into being a slow-moving sci-fi mini-series. That’s good to know!

Any thoughts, feelings or .gifs you’d like to share while we all wait for season two to arrive? The comment section is a safe place for such things. Even if it’s just lusting over Jere Burns’ eyebrows.
