An Anti-Putin American Broadcaster Quit Her Job At A Russia-Owned Station During A Live Broadcast

Liz Wahl had seen enough. And that was the problem: she saw and knew things the general public didn’t, but she wasn’t allowed to do anything with the information. That’s why Wahl quit her job as an anchor on the state-owned Russia Today during a live broadcast yesterday, because she “cannot be part of a network funded by the Russian government that whitewashes the actions of Putin.” She added, “I’m proud to be an American and believe in disseminating the truth, and that is why, after this newscast, I’m resigning.”

“It actually makes me feel sick that I worked there,” Wahl says. “It’s not a sound news organization, not when your agenda is making America look bad.” (Via)
