Last week on Arrow, the Arrow Team decided they could totally take on Tobias Church by themselves and that ended with Wild Dog being abducted and promptly getting tortured. And according to this trailer, Wild Dog gives up the goods, and Ollie would be in real trouble if not for the massive spoiler Arrow made the title of the episode. You’ve been warned!
Still here? Action show fans might remember that name, and there’s a reason: A few years ago, Fox gave a few seasons to a DC character whose ability was the uncanny skill of impersonating almost anybody. He was such a good actor, and such an excellent master of disguise, that he would essentially become that person. He specialized in subbing in for assassination targets and counter-assassinating them. His name? The Human Target. So, yeah, great job, CW. Way to tip us off.
Joking aside, the Fox show mostly took the name and was a fairly generic, if entertaining, action show. The idea of revisiting the Target and making him more like the psychologically messed-up bad-ass who gets so deep into character he loses himself and sometimes drags others in with him is pretty cool. And we’ll see what the CW does with it tonight at 8pm EST. Join us, won’t you?
