UPROXX 20: Arturo Castro Feels Very Passionately About ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’ Being Vastly Underrated

1. You walk into a bar. What do you order from the bartender?

Information. Is he too in love with the CoCo?

2. Who’s your favorite person to follow on Twitter and/or Instagram?

National Geographic. It’s a safe thing to switch to when my girlfriend looks over my shoulder.

3. What’s currently waiting for you on your DVR?

Notebook, Notebook, Narcos, Notebook, Notebook.

4. It’s your last meal — what are you going out with?

Endless buffet.

5. What websites do you visit on a regular basis?

Ancestry.com, then isancestry.com/accurate?.com

A song called “Tracking Aeroplanes” by The Echelon Effect. I play it on loop on long plane rides.

Start writing scripts asap! And invest in shake-weight stock.

8. What’s the last thing you Googled?

Clown prank gone wrong. Don’t ask.

9. Dogs or cats?

Dogs, all the way. I’m deathly allergic to cats, and they make me feel rejected, and loved and confused.

10. Best concert of your life was…?

Shakira when I was 14. I was there with my first girlfriend and it all felt so meaningful and movie-like. It was one of those nights you know you’re gonna remember as it’s happening.

11. What book are you most likely to give as a gift?

Shadow Of The Wind by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, or Carry This Book by Abbi Jacobson (see what I did there, Abbi??) :)

12. What’s the nicest thing anyone has ever done for you?

I’d been in NYC six years and I got the chance to do a play in El Salvador for a weekend. My family, immediate and extended, dropped everything and drove to a different country to see it. Three generations in one theater. I had never felt so grateful and appreciated in my life.

13. South Park or Family Guy?

South Park!! (And I’m not just saying that because it’s on Comedy Central and they’re reading this and hi Comedy Central! And I’ve definitely watched South Park more than just a couple of episodes and the movie.)

14. You have an entire day to do whatever you want. What would you do?

I’d get a few wave runners and take my friends and girlfriend to Lake Atitlan. (seriously, Google it, it’s magical).

15. What movie can you not resist watching if it’s on?

Edge of Tomorrow with Tom Cruise. Such a dope film, completely underrated! I feel passionately about this…

16. The sports team or teams you’re most passionate about?

Bayern Munich, German soccer team. And the one I play with on FIFA. I’m loyal like that.

17. Where did you eat the best meal of your life?

El Almacen in Williamsburg. Everything there tastes like unicorn laughter tears.

18. The last movie you saw in a theater?

Magnificent 7. It was dope, and had a Latin dude in it kicking ass, so…win win.

19. Who was your first celebrity crush?

Brooke Shields in Blue Lagoon. I wanted to live on that island, and live off coconuts and uninterrupted eye contact.

20. What would you cook if Nic Cage was coming to your house for dinner?

An elaborate ceviche dish, and call it Conne Haire and tell him the H is silent so he’d have to say “I love this Con Air!” over and over.
