You’re The Ruxin Forever And Ever: The Best Lines From The 5th Season Finale Of ‘The League’

Last night’s double-episode fifth season finale was classic The League. In addition to guest appearances from Vernon Davis, Lizzy Caplan, and Aziz Ansari, the episodes featured a holy war between the Catholics and the Jews, Rafi’s conversion, Taco’s Eskimo Brother Database, and the winners of both the Saco Bowl (Kevin) and the Shiva Bowl (Jenny). The season also went out like every season of every great sitcom should: With a black choir singing “Suck it” to the congregation.

Hallelujah.

One quick note before we get to the best lines from the two episodes. FXX has generously provided us with a DVD set of season four of The League, which we have decided to give away to a very special commenter who has provided so many valuable contributions to both The League recaps, and the rest of the site’s television recaps this year (especially mine!). So, thanks, Verbal Kunt. Season four of The League is yours. Just email Maske with your details, and we’ll get that out to you ASAP.

In the meantime, here are the best lines from the last two episodes of the fifth season, “Baby Geoffrey Jesus” and “The 8 Defensive Points of Hanukkah.”
