Reese Witherspoon, Laura Dern, Adam Scott, Zoe Kravitz, Nicole Kidman and Shailene Woodley are among the stars lending their talent to the upcoming 2017 small screen adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s book Big Little Lies. The limited series revolves around three moms of kindergartners who have their lives unravel with murder in the cards. It sounds like the sort of weighty ensemble thing that gets trotted out on the festival circuit, but thankfully this Jean-Marc Vallée directed affair is being billed as a dark comedy. Who doesn’t want Witherspoon and Woodley in a dark comedy offering? Monsters, that’s who.
