Bob Odenkirk Addresses His Embarrassing Foreign Advertising Work On ‘Conan’

Fans of comedy know that Bob Odenkirk and Conan O’Brien have a long history that dates all the way back to when both were upstart writers for Saturday Night Live in the late ’80s. Together, their off-kilter jokes and comedic stylings meshed, and that led Conan to hire Bob as a writer when he was developing Late Night with Conan O’Brien. It was a comedic match made in heaven, and the two have been making funny things happily ever after.

Since these two legends of comedy go back almost 30 years, it’s always a treat to see them get in front of a camera together. But with Odenkirk reaching a new level of fame through Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul, it seems like the only time we’re able to see any hilarious fruits from the Bob O’Brien tree is when their busy schedules allow it. We will take what we can get.

Considering how long these two have been friends, it’s no surprise that Conan was giving Bob some not-so-gentle ribbing for doing some advertisements overseas when Bob always stated he’d never do anything for the money. Conan then pulled out the footage of the offending ads, and even got his hands on some of the outtakes. All to mock his good friend and guest.
