Abbi And Ilana From ‘Broad City’ Discover God Exists While Celebrating 4/20

For Abbi Jacobson and Ilana Glazer, the stars of Broad City, 4/20 isn’t just another day — it’s a national holiday. It’s also when they learned God exists.

On this, the most holy of days for marijuana smokers and Hitler enthusiasts alike, Comedy Central released the latest installment of the “Hack Into Broad City” series, “Sharing a Bowl,” where the “girls toke up in honor of weed’s biggest day of the year — and accidentally stumble into the realm of the uncanny.” (The same thing happened to my freshman year dorm mate while watching A Walk to Remember and eating Taco Bell at the same time.) How did Glazer pass her bowl to Jacobson through a laptop? Some questions are better left unanswered, although it probably involves Abbi’s Oprah poster.

Elsewhere in the Broad-verse, which is totally a thing, Abbi and Ilana are working on Sticks, an animated pilot for Freeform about a “neurotic twentysomething with a head filled with pop culture references and a love of Chili’s who lives with a giant eagle.” There was supposed to be a Time Traveling Bong, too, but, y’know, politics. The BFFs are also performing a live-read of Wayne’s World and filming Broad City season four, which premieres this summer. Assuming they don’t destroy the space-time continuum first.
