As predictable as rats flocking to a dumpster filled with hot garbage, moronic right-wing noise makers will scurry to play the “so much for global warming!” card whenever a freeze blankets the country. Cue curiously coiffed gasbag Donald Trump taking to Twitter a few days ago to post the following: “This very expensive GLOBAL WARMING bullsh*t has got to stop. Our planet is freezing, record low temps,and our GW scientists are stuck in ice.”
Like an ace closer brought in from the bullpen to slam the door his set-up man left open for him, Stephen Colbert swooped in last night with the perfect zinger in response: “If there’s one thing Trump knows, it’s expensive bullsh*t.” He then went on to lampoon the doltish Fox and Friends gang for making hay about someone finding Al Gore’s climate change book on sale for a dollar at a discount bin, a sure sign that nothing contained in the book is worth a second thought.
