Coming Soon: A ‘Twin Peaks’ Book That Reveals What Everyone Has Been Up To For The Last 25 Years

Ever since news hit that Twin Peaks will return to television in 2016 after a 25-year hiatus, fans of the show have been raising a number of very understandable questions like “Whaaaaaaaa?” and “Whyyyyyyyyyyy?” and “Okay, but hoooowwwwwwww?” Well, it appears that at least a few of those could get answered before the show premieres on Showtime, as series co-creator Mark Frost will pen a companion book to be released at some point next year.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the book, titled The Secret Lives of Twin Peaks, will provide “an inside look into what has happened to the iconic characters of the iconic fictional town since audiences last saw them” as well as “a deeper look into the central mystery of the original series, which ended abruptly, leaving many plot points unresolved.” So, you know, there’s that.

Personally, nothing would make me happier than this thing opening with “CHAPTER 1: So anyway, then everybody moved to Hawaii and started a band named The Cashmere Beagles.” It’s not that I don’t want to know the real answers, or that I want to torture fans of the show who are dying for an update, it’s just that I place a very high value on inciting hilarious chaos for little to no reason. We all have to live by our own code.
