Corgi Friday Is Thankful

When we’re not stuffing our faces with turkey and mashed potatoes, Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and gratitude, and we’ve got a lot to be thankful for here at Warming Glow. So many simple treasures go unappreciated on a daily basis: our families, working from home, remote controls, Timothy Olyphant’s rugged good looks, the delicate gift of life itself. Even in a world where trashy reality TV is a mindless distraction from the country’s dilapidated economic and political state, there’s a deep richness to daily life that we can appreciate.

And that’s sorta the whole point of Corgi Friday. This is (nominally) a television blog, and yet people show up every week, again and again, to look at pictures and videos of little stumpy-legged dogs. I’ve never tried to justify or explain it; Warming Glow readers just accepted it in stride and said, “YES.” You just get it. And that’s what I’m thankful for this year: a little corner of the sprawling universe of the internet where reasonable people enjoy quality television and cute dogs. So thank you, everybody. Enjoy these Thanksgiving corgis.
