Taran Killam does a fine job on Saturday Night Live and he certainly doesn’t deserve to get slapped by Taraji P. Henson, but there’s just something so thrilling about watching Henson slip into her Cookie character from Empire to lay a hand on Killam’s grinning face.
See? Over and over. It’s good fun and all in the name of comedy. Besides, Killam gets some Cookie wisdom afterwards and transforms into a human hurricane of attitude when confronting Kyle Moody, who somehow escapes the confrontation without getting slapped. Will he be so lucky on Saturday when Henson hosts SNL? You’ll have to wait, watch, and see to find out.
