Last night on IFC, Comedy Bang! Bang! wrapped up the spectacular first half of its second season with “Casey Wilson Wears a White Lace Dress and a Black Blazer,” a musical episode not ONLY featuring Casey Wilson, white lace dresses, and black blazers, but also Thomas Lennon as the Phanton of the Opera, Paul F. Tompkins as a grinning Andrew Lloyd Webber, and a touching “I Dreamed a Dream” homage about Cheez-Its. It was great.

Comedy Bang! Bang!, or CBB for the superfans/people whose “o” fell off their keyboard, has become one of TV’s best comedies, with a more assured second season featuring an increase in unrelated sketches and (seemingly) a higher budget, which has allowed Scott Aukerman (Read Uproxxerman) and Reggie Watts to take more stylistic chances than they could in their freshman year. It also helps when your guest star roster is filled with names from Parks and Recreation, Community, Happy Endings, The Wire, Arrested Development, and T-Mobile commercials. Until the show returns on October 18th, here are all the Comedy Bang! Bang! season two guest stars so far.
