‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Heads To The Ocean In Our First Look At Season Two

In the season one finale of Fear the Walking Dead, AMC’s slower-moving spinoff of The Walking Dead, Nick discovers Victor Strand’s yacht, “Abigail.” That’s where much of the 15-episode second season will take place, with showrunner Dave Erickson teasing “quite a bit of action on the seas, and we’ll split it between land and water.” Here’s more from Erickson.

First of all, getting to the yacht is going to be something of a challenge. And then the question becomes: Once we get to it, which way is it going to go? And we will discover that we were not the only ones with this bright idea. There are a lot of boats up and down the coastline of Southern California. So it will become very interesting when we get to see and discover that we’re not the only vessels out there, and there may be others that are covetous of what we have, which will have certain features that will be enviable to people that are trying to escape the zombie hordes. Our first look at season two, which AMC just released, takes place entirely aboard “Abigail.” The tagline: “No Safe Harbor.” Not safe from what, exactly?

Well, zombies, but also pirates?

I think AMC just found its next spinoff: Beware the Walking Dead Pirates.
