Here’s Your First Look At ‘Supergirl’ And ‘The Flash’ Meeting Face To Face

CBS confirmed last week that Supergirl would feature an appearance of Grant Gustin’s Flash in the episode set to air on March 28. Both Supergirl and The Flash are run by producer Greg Berlanti, who keeps nearly all the plates in the air for DC television (sorry, Gotham), so this team up was bound to happen. Still, it is an exciting prospect to see Barry Allen and Kara Danvers share the screen for Supergirl‘s season finale, entitled “Worlds Finest.”

While we still don’t know anything about the plot or what brings Barry to National City, Gustin posted an adorable Instagram photo featuring himself and Melissa Benoist with the caption “Those two emblems look pretty good together…” Aside from once again proving that these two are the cutest superheroes on television, there don’t appear to be any clues to what will be going down in the episode. Honestly, everyone is still reeling from that trip to Earth-2 on this week’s episode of The Flash, so maybe it’s for the best that we get a little breather.

Despite a strong start, Supergirl hasn’t been reaching the same heights as the other Berlanti shows, which is a shame, because it has really become a wonderful bit of television. Hopefully this crossover event will give it a big enough boost that CBS will renew it for a second season. Fingers crossed.
