5 Quotes From This Week’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ You’ll Be Repeating All Day

This week’s episode of Game of Thrones was some of the most riveting television we’ve seen in some time. There was action, intrigue, death, birth, death, and re-birth. And a lot of great quotes, as well. So many, in fact, that we’ve decided to pull some of the hottest takes from the episode and give you some pointers on how to integrate them into your daily speech.

Because let’s admit it, “And now my watch begins,” got old about two seasons ago, and “What the f*ck is a Lommy?” just never seems to come up in conversation.

“That’s what I do. I drink, and I know things.”

Used by Tyrion to shut down questions about his knowledge of dragons. Perfect for any time some fool tries to do the same thing to you. Bonus points if you actually have a drink in your hand when you say it. Bonus bonus points if what you’ve said isn’t instantly disproved by someone with a smartphone a moment later.

“Apologies for what you’re about to see.”

Used by Davos to excuse his poor swordsmanship in the moments leading up to a fight with the traitorous members of the Night’s Watch. Perfect for moments where you’re about to try something new in public that you’ll probably be terrible at like disc golf or cornholing, or maybe when some twist of fate requires getting naked in front of friends. Bonus points if you say it in Ser Davos’ gruff accent.

“Next time I have an idea like that, punch me in the face”

Used by Tyrion after somehow surviving his insane encounter with Daenerys’ dragons. Perfect for any time your mouth gets you into more trouble than you can handle, or when you accidentally risk your life trying to accomplish some mundane task. Because seriously, don’t put a chair on a table to change a light bulb. That behavior has been responsible for more deaths than Ser Gregor Clegane.

“A girl is not a beggar any more.”

Used by Jaqen H’ghar as he tells Arya to leave her beggar’s bowl behind and return to the House of Black and White with him. Perfect for stopping your girlfriend/sister/friend from swiping fries or ice cream, or any time someone is being too demanding of you.

“I’m here to help. Don’t eat the help.”

Used by Tyrion while trying to remove the chains from Rhaegal and Viserion under the great temple of Meereen. Perfect for any time you’re dealing with a skittish animal that requires your aid. Even a skunk with its head stuck in a cup will appreciate this well-timed quote, even though it obviously can’t eat you.
