‘Glee’ Star Mark Salling Arrested For Possession Of Child Pornography

According to reports from Crime Watch Daily and The Hollywood Reporter, Mark Salling has been arrested for possession of child pornography. Salling — whose IMDb profile suggests he’s currently filming Adi Shankar’s God and Secrets — is best known for playing Noah “Puck” Puckerman on Glee.

Salling was arrested early this morning at his Sunland, California home, where the LAPD Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force Unit served a search warrant and found, according to TMZ, “hundreds of images.”

This isn’t Salling’s first run-in with the law. In 2013, THR points out, Salling was sued for sexual assault and battery by a woman who “alleged that he had unprotected sex with her despite demands he wear a condom.” A report on the incident from E! adds that the woman became “overwhelmed with anxiety” in the days following the encounter, “worrying that she may have contracted a sexually transmitted disease,” and when she confronted Salling at his home, she claims he “grabbed and pushed her, causing her to hit her head.” The actor was ordered by a judge to pay $2.7 million to the victim.

Commenting on the incident, Salling told E!, “You kind of have to learn as you go… You just have to stay positive, and I personally have a relationship with Jesus Christ and I count on that myself. And my parents are awesome, too.”

Neither Salling nor his reps have yet commented on today’s arrest.
