Glenn Howerton Is Preparing To Bring The D.E.N.N.I.S. System To ‘House Of Lies’

Glenn Howerton is a lot more than just Dennis Reynolds from It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia — although why would you want to be. He had some memorable roles in the first season of Fargo, The Mindy Project, Crank, and the indie feature Coffee Town. And now, he’s going to be adding a potential mayor to his list of roles by joining the next season of House Of Lies.

Howerton will play Seth Buckley, a candidate for mayor on the show, and he’ll reteam with his Coffee Town co-star Ben Schwartz. It also provides a good reason to start watching the show, which is already pretty damn good if you haven’t heard. And it isn’t too hard to picture Howerton as a mayor, although I don’t think Dennis could ever actually win a political campaign. He would run, though.

My only question is, if Dennis could somehow apply the D.E.N.N.I.S. system on some sort of mass scale, bringing in the voters by appealing to their needs, desires, and weak confidence and then crushing them by ending his candidacy immediately after he gets donations. It might be a good episode, possibly with Charlie acting as his unofficial campaign manager and Mac playing some sort of G. Gordon Liddy-like plumber and Sweet Dee attempting to use the campaign to launch herself into viral video fame (again). Also, bring back Rum Ham.
