“To Tell The Truth” was a syndicated game show hosted by John O’Hurley in which a panel of four celebrities tried to identify a person of middling renown from a lineup of impostors.  In the 2001 clip above, Google co-founder Sergey Brin appeared on the show, and it’s an incredible time capsule of how the Internet was perceived in 2001.  It’s also incredible to see Paula Poundstone, Meshach Taylor, and Dave Coulier working.  And Brooke Burns!  Remember Brooke Burns? That takes me back.

Anyway, the Brin ended up winning a whopping $5000.  I’m sure that kept Google afloat through the lean years.  That, or he lit the cash on fire and threw it out the window.  Just because.
