Gwen Stefani Is In Talks To Replace Christina Aguilera On ‘The Voice’

Now that Christina Aguilera is pregnant with her second child, NBC is in search of yet another new member of the musical coaches on The Voice. While Adam Levine and Blake Shelton are seemingly fused to their chairs for the rest of eternity, it has already been reported that Pharrell Williams and his big hat are taking over for Cee Lo Green, so that leaves the female coach to be accounted for. Enter: the seemingly ageless Gwen Stefani, who is reportedly in talks to replace Aguilera, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Adding fuel to the rumor machine is the fact that Pharrell and his hat were joined on stage by Stefani at Coachella, as they performed her 2004 hit “Hollaback Girl.” Before she joined him on stage, Pharrell said of Stefani that “there has only been one incredible, historical, most important, incredibly talented, f*cking awesome, rad girl in the world.” I assume he meant her, because that’s when she joined him on stage and started singing that song that it took 10 years to erase from my brain.

As for the actual decision of adding Stefani to the show, I guess it’s okay. But if NBC gave me control of The Voice and allowed me to name the new coaches, all four of them would be this guy:
