On Wednesday night, Hannibal Buress introduced a new and original segment on Why? With Hannibal Buress called “Children Say Things That You Don’t Expect Them To Say Sometimes,” that is in no way related to Bill Cosby’s Kids Say the Darndest Things. Only instead of whatever dumb, fake, wholesome crap Cosby talked about with kids, Buress asked them about far more important topics like basketball players and rap lyrics.

However, in the end, it was Buress who learned a very important lesson — as young and impressionable minds often can teach us more about ourselves than we can teach them — that being mistaken for 42 years old is better than being mistaken for Tyler Perry. If Jell-O ever mans up and decides to bring back the Pudding Pop, you’ve got your new spokesperson right here.
