Harrison Ford has had a busy couple of weeks curmudgeonly promoting Ender’s Game. He told a delightfully mumbly bad joke on Letterman. He allowed Benedict Cumberbatch to wow him with a Chewbacca impersonation. And Friday night — unbeknownst to most of us on the internet who try and maintain our last shred of social activity — he got weird, ironic, and self-aware with Jimmy Fallon in the first ear-piercing session late night television has ever seen (or so my research suggests).
It’s all pretty awkward but worth the watch for Ford having his version of weird fun and Jimmy Fallon’s genuine squeamishness. Dude gets delivery room white and clammy. The good part starts around the 3:30 mark. Questlove is a supportive band leader.
