‘Mr. Show’ Is Coming To HBO Now! (And Other May Highlights)

Shockingly enough, there is more to HBO NOW than Game of Thrones for the month of May. While users will certainly continue to enjoy new seasons of Thrones, Veep, and Silicon Valley, there is a host of other new content coming next month, including the long-awaited debut of Mr. Show on the service and a post-Breaking Bad Bryan Cranston as President Lyndon B. Johnson in All the Way. A bunch of theatrical releases from 2015 are also making their way to HBO Now, including The Man From U.N.C.L.E., Jupiter Ascending, Fantastic Four, and The Intern.

Here are all the May’s HBO NOW highlights.

Mr. Show

After their own successful careers and the Netflix show, W/ Bob & David, fans of Bob Odenkirk and David Cross have been clamoring for Mr. Show to be added to HBO’s streaming services for ages now. Luckily, their prayers have been heard and all four seasons of the classic sketch show will be added in May. Whether you’re a longtime fan or a comedy newcomer, Mr. Show‘s return is not to be missed.

All the Way

Bryan Cranston has yet to find a performance that he cannot crush, so he is sure to command the role of President Lyndon B. Johnson in All the Way, for which he won a Tony in 2014 while it was a stage show. Taking place during his first year as President following the assassination of JFK, to say that it was a tumultuous time in the White House would be an understatement. With a supporting cast boasting Anthony Mackie, Melissa Leo, Bradley Whitford, and Stephen Root, add All the Way to your must-watch list.

The Man from U.N.C.L.E.

While it may not be at the peak of Guy Ritchie’s prowess as a director, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is way more fun than anyone expected. Featuring charismatic performances from Henry Cavill, Armie Hammer, and Alicia Vikander, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is a candy colored spy caper that should have been a bigger hit. At once stylish and retro, here’s hoping this film gets a second life on streaming.
