Frank Underwood Has A Message For America In The Latest ‘House Of Cards’ Teaser

The fourth season of House of Cards premieres on Netflix on March 4, and in the latest bit of publicity for the season, the streaming service rolled out this teaser during the Golden Globes. The mildly spoiler-y teaser features Kevin Spacey delivering a message to the American public in character as Frank Underwood — excuse me, President Frank Underwood — with brief snippets of all the people he stepped on or killed on his way to the top. There really were a lot, too. Say what you will about the candidates in the real 2016 election, but none of them ever heaved someone in front of a speeding subway train. I mean, probably. Maybe. As far as we know.

The teaser also features the thing from last season where Frank Underwood urinated on his father’s grave (literally, not figuratively), which was a) weird, and b) somehow not the only example of a prominent character in a Netflix original series urinating on his father’s grave last year, as Wolfgang the German Safecracker also did it in the series premiere of The Wachowski’s Sense8. Fingers crossed that this continues to be a theme for Netflix shows in 2016. Even in the comedies. Looking at you, Titus Andromedon.
