This week’s set of promos for the J.K. Simmons hosted episode of Saturday Night Live stay cool while outside, but soon get heated inside. They’re full of jokes about the blizzard that just hit the northeast, the reality behind Simmons’ initials, and Kenan Thompson doing his best take on what happens in Whiplash.
I’m excited to see Simmons in this setting. It can’t be much worse than last week’s episode, plus I want to see how Simmons handles this type of comedy. It’s not his first time on the show, though, just his first time hosting. You might remember how he appeared in the Seinfeld/OZ parody as his character Vern Schillinger, withholding makeup sodomy.
