On Friday, Amy Schumer stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and brought up the time she rented out Jake Gyllenhaal’s home and drunkenly ate up his cake. As luck would have it, Gyllenhaal was a guest on Colbert a few days later, and he had a message for Schumer. That message mostly being that he can eat cake, too, as Colbert provided a large piece of birthday cake for both to take a bite of during the interview.
I think the lesson here is that Gyllenhaal is just fine with you gobbling up his leftovers, just don’t think he won’t make a spectacle of it on television. That, and Stephen Colbert is easily susceptible to dares in front of a camera. Once Gyllenhaal’s suggests for Colbert to bite from where he bit, it soon came to fruition.
