Seeing how James McAvoy is only the second person to play Charles Xavier from The X-Men (not counting animated versions), it’s pretty reasonable to believe he’d be noticed a lot more on the street. What I didn’t know is that people think he’s Ewan McGregor when they meet him.
He recounts one such meeting during this Letterman interview, telling how an Argentinian woman confused him with the guy who ruined Obi Wan Kenobi for us all. Don’t deny it, you know it to be true.
Does she think all Scotsmen look the same? That they all talk funny, spell their names differently than they would sound, and dance around in their little lady skirts all day? That’s some form of bigotry there. I just haven’t gotten my new outrage dictionary from Amazon yet, so I’m forced to guess. Let’s go with jingoism.
He seems to take it well though. I’ve always believed that the Scots were a pretty contentious people.
