Jeff Foxworthy’s Latest Gig: ‘The American Bible Challenge’ Host

Through some kind of divine, transcendent power, Jeff Foxworthy hasn’t evolved from redneck joke teller to game show host so much as he’s been called upon by someone greater than himself to oversee series like Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? It’s as if his career was predestined. Now Jeff Fox-We’re-Not-Worthy, as his students call him, can add another show to his flock: Game Show Network’s The American Bible Challenge.

According to the Los Angeles Times:

Foxworthy plays host to two teams as they use their knowledge of Bible trivia to win money for a charity or ministry. As Foxworthy says in the promo, “It’s just cool seeing people come and, within the course of an hour, win money to change somebody else’s life.” Bible Challenge premieres August 23 at 8 p.m. (Via)

Also, big-ass Bibles:

Rumor has it that Bill Engvall, ever the lovable contrarian, is working on a game show of his own with a team of top-secret atheists. Its working title: My God Isn’t Better Than Your God Because There’s No Such Thing As God, IDIOT. But that might change; they don’t really believe in it.
