Jeffrey Tambor is seeing plenty of success, thanks to his fantastic role in Transparent on Amazon, but it would seem that most of his younger fans still want to talk to him about Arrested Development. Actually, they want to see him recreate one specific bit from Arrested Development… his chicken dance. Now, as he notes at the end of this clip, Will Arnett has the best of the Bluth family chicken dances.
Still, the fans want to see the George, Sr. version, and he usually gets a lot of requests during his many college speaking engagements. And just the mention of the dance during this Conan interview makes the audience erupt in anticipation of seeing Tambor busting out his poultry moves. Then, it almost happens before he amends it into a kosher version of the dance, which is far less animated than the original.
It’s a bit of a cop out, sure, but the guy has to put up with it all the time. And he’s got a long career full of memorable roles. He’s more than a dance, despite it being awesome and hilarious.
