Jimmy Fallon Provided An Unexpected Musical Performance At A Vancouver Eatery

It looks like Jimmy Fallon doesn’t just save the song-and-dance for his late-night talk show. While in Vancouver, he broke out into song with his ragtime band (yes, apparently he has one of these) for the chef of a fancy French restaurant. His song of choice, “Ignition” by R. Kelly, of course.

According to the CBC, Fallon jumped onstage with the “Ragtime Gals” at Le Crocodile, and sang for the restaurant’s chef, Michel Jacob. In the same visit, he had also crashed the stage at a Paul McCartney concert, who presumably did not pull a Prince-kicks-Kim Kardashian-off-the-stage type deal.

Anyway, here are The Ragtime Gals performing their barbershop version of “Ignition.”

Toot toot, beep beep, indeed. To be honest, this version is kind of a nice novelty, but it only makes me want to listen to the original. Hopefully, the restaurant blasted it over their speakers afterwards.

This isn’t the first time that Fallon has performed this version of “Ignition,” though. He’s done the remix to the remix to “Ignition” on The Tonight Show as well. The show has the advantage of providing better acoustics and garishly striped suits and wide brimmed hats.

Anyway, it’s the freakin’ weekend, so have some fun with this performance.
