Watch An Adorable Josh Hutcherson On His First ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live’ Appearance

It’s easy to forget that before Josh Hutcherson was cast as Peeta in The Hunger Games, he was just another child actor from Kentucky trying to make it in the acting biz. It was 2005 when Hutcherson finally landed his first big role, starring in the fantasy blockbuster Zathura: A Space Adventure, and as such was invited to be a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Now 23 and promoting The Hunger Games: Mockingjay: Part 2, Hutcherson once again stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live where he was surprised with a clip from his adorably awkward formative years, and Kimmel himself was surprised with a reminder that he used to be fat.

Also worth noting, Jimmy Kimmel once gave a 13-year-old child actor a fake ID. Is this what happened to Lindsay Lohan? Regardless, despite “almost getting arrested a lot of times,” it seems like the kid ended up doing well for himself.
