If you didn’t know Pete Davidson was a smart and funny guy, you’d think that his role of as a pool boy in this sketch wasn’t much of a role. He plays it perfectly opposite the very guilty housewife he’s servicing — played by Julia Louis-Dreyfus. She gets a chance to play out every housewife’s fantasy in this sketch, while attempting to also work through every nightmare: trying to end your affair.
It’s a fantasy because this doesn’t happen everyday, plus I don’t think that many squirrels end up drowning in the swimming pool. Unless it’s intentional critter murder, which is really why our pool boy should be thinking twice about his situation because Julia Louis-Dreyfus wants out. She not only gets to end it with one of her loverboys in Davidson’s pool boy, she somehow ends up with another affair thanks to Nick Jonas. Fantasy.
The real question here is why there’s someone mowing the lawn AND a pool boy. Is this how rich people live? Some of us are busy sitting on pizza boxes, stealing Wi-Fi from the nearby Starbucks, and eating whatever unlucky rat manages to sneak into said pizza boxes. Honey mustard makes anything taste edible.
