Julianne Moore and John Stamos were guests on The Late Late Show Monday night, but both actors got their starts from roles in soap operas. This was all the impetus James Corden needed to have his guests join him in a soap opera sketch. But reactions to dramatic plot points from an Oscar-winner wasn’t soap opera-y enough, so the dialogue was swapped with Taylor Swift lyrics.
You know, it was a bit of a surprise to me, but when you have a few songs about relationships gone bad, it seems pretty easy to work them into a soap opera script. With Swift’s seemingly endless supply of hits, there’s no reason The Bold and the Lyrical couldn’t be made into a series. It wouldn’t even be the craziest show on CBS.
